Radio Over & Out? Think Again.

Radio Over & Out? Think Again.

Radio is not out. I repeat, radio is not out. Over. Traditional radio is still a very relevant way to reach your target audience. According to Nielsen, traditional radio is an area advertisers can utilize and gain the right return for their investment. Radio exposure can truly make a difference in terms of conversion, particularly gaining new, valuable customers. Let’s dive into how it is so effective. How is Traditional Radio Effective? 1. The PM Commute: Folks listen to the radio on their afternoon and PM commute as they commute home from work or school and tune in for weather updates, daily contest updates, or to listen to top indexing format, country radio stations. Baby boomers preferably listen to engaging talk shows or to call in to win contests, which is a great space for advertisers to leverage. On traditional radio, there is less interruption as on other mediums since drivers cannot be distracted with social media or texting while driving. 2. Reach: According to Edison Research, “AM/FM radio reaches an audience 10 times the size of ad-supported Pandora.” In the U.S., traditional radio reaches 65.2 million millennials ages 18-34 each week. It is without doubt that radio reaches a high number of the commuting population as they navigate to work or school on a daily basis. With penetration on an upward slope, Nielsen claims that 93% of adults 18-54 listen to radio per week. That’s quite a lot of people! 3. Listener Demographics: Of course the Gen X generation, ages 35-49, listen to radio more than other age demos at approximately 14 hours a week according to Nielsen....

5 Reasons the Resume is Dying Due to Digital Personal Branding

5 Reasons the Resume is Dying Due to Digital Personal Branding

The Resume is Fading… It is without doubt that the traditional resume is beginning to dissolve in thin air as efforts shift to digital personal branding. But why is this? With new advances in technology and trends like the e-portfolio and personal websites arise, the hard copy resume is dying out…   The Before:   The One & Only Chance to Sell Yourself- The traditional resume was once considered the only way to reach potential employers and acted as a strong first impression. Applicants seeking positions would turn to newspaper job postings to find jobs and submit their resume in person… yes, in person. Believe it or not, people actually had to physically deliver their application and resume and introduce themselves to potential employers (unlike today’s methodology). With a paper resume, employers were able to quickly judge in one glance whether or not they wanted to further seek out potential applicants.   Tangibility- In addition to being a first impression, this hard copy document held strong power to it. Its physicality allowed for interviewers to easily mark it up with notes and key attributes they preferred about the applicant. The ability to physically hold a hard copy in hand attributed to strong credibility and clearly outlined a person’s work history and extensive experience.   Navigable- Simple, straight, and to the point. Resumes are succinct documents of an applicant’s experience with easy readability from top to bottom and employers can find employment history, certifications, education, and skills efficiently with bolded headings and bullet point formats.     So What Happened?   Keyword Softwares/ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems- Companies have implemented keyword...

DDL Cruises in Style with Paul Masse

Our team had the opportunity to test drive a series of 2017 Chevy vehicles at our client’s dealership earlier this month. This exciting experience provided beneficial market research and shed light on new insights that assist in our advertising efforts for Paul Masse. Paul Masse is a Rhode Island family of dealerships with three locations offering General Motors vehicles including Paul Masse Chevrolet in East Providence, Paul Masse Chevrolet in Wakefield, and Paul Masse Buick GMC in South Kingstown. We test drove Chevy vehicles at their East Providence location on Route 44.   We test drove a total of seven vehicles including the Chevy Equinox, Malibu, Cruz, Traverse, Bolt EV, Silverado, and Corvette! All of these Chevy vehicles were equipped with OnStar and 4G LTE Wi-Fi. Of these, our favorite was the slick and shiny Chevy Corvette. This hip Corvette left us all speechless and in dire need of one. With a V8 engine and 650 horsepower, this attention seeking vehicle is nothing short of fast. In addition to the Corvette, we got to drive the all new 2017 Chevy Bolt EV. This car has no engine and runs solely on an electric battery. Users can conveniently plug their car into the charging station overnight and be ready to drive in the AM. The Bolt’s surround vision includes four cameras to provide drivers with a bird’s eye view of all surroundings. This electric car is meant for the “green” customer who has a passion for preserving our environment.     Our third favorite vehicle was the Chevy Equinox for its large sunroof, of course. This compact SUV was both...
