Attendance Matters
Since 2022, DDL Advertising has been a driving force behind the “Attendance Matters RI” initiative, a critical campaign led by the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE). Our involvement started by designing a compelling new logo, which set the foundation for a full rebranding of the campaign, aligning every aspect of communication and visual identity to reflect a cohesive message. From the reimagined logo to the carefully crafted messaging, we ensured that the campaign was engaging, relatable, and impactful for students, parents, and educators across the state.
Beyond the creative aspect, DDL developed a multi-faceted strategic plan, positioning RIDE’s efforts as essential for the upcoming school year, emphasizing the importance of students returning to school after the disruptions caused by the pandemic. We executed a robust media buy across various channels, including television, radio, digital platforms, and out-of-home advertising, all tailored to maximize reach and awareness across diverse communities in Rhode Island.
Our creative team also produced animated videos that were not only visually appealing but delivered the core message in a way that resonated with both students and their families. These videos served as powerful tools in shifting perceptions about attendance, demonstrating how crucial it is to student achievement and future success.
As a result of our strategic media placements and awareness efforts, absenteeism dropped significantly in Rhode Island during the last school year. Our collaboration with RIDE has helped strengthen community engagement around the “Attendance Matters RI” initiative, reinforcing the message that consistent attendance is foundational to academic growth. By successfully bridging the gap between RIDE’s mission and the broader community, DDL Advertising has helped create lasting change and continue to elevate the importance of education across the state. Explore how DDL has partnered with “Attendance Matters RI” to ensure the future success of Rhode Island’s students through consistent and engaged attendance.
