Overview

​DDL Advertising partnered with Rhode Island College (RIC) to promote the Hope Scholarship, a pilot program aimed at providing tuition-free education for eligible students during their junior and senior years. This initiative seeks to alleviate financial barriers and increase college accessibility for Rhode Island residents. ​The Hope Scholarship was introduced to support Rhode Island residents by covering tuition and mandatory fees for their junior and senior years at RIC. The scholarship aims to encourage higher education enrollment and completion by reducing financial obstacles.

Results

The Hope Scholarship program drove a 15.6% overall increase in applications, with in-state, Hope-eligible applications surging nearly 47%. Undergraduate enrollment reached 4,786 students in Fall 2023, and 243 juniors and seniors benefited from the scholarship, saving a total of $2.15 million in tuition and fees during the 2023–2024 academic year.
