Earlier this year, the much anticipated, massive 187,000 square foot facility everyone sees while driving by Route 24, in Tiverton, RI, opened. Right now, the first floor is fully operational with numerous hard courts, turf fields, and in-line/ dek courts, are open for play. As time progresses, there is so much more to come such as a full kitchen and bar, 10,000 square foot gym, conference rooms, indoor running track, arcade, and more. Not to mention, the 35 acres outside will be providing sports fanatics all sorts of physical fun. We have been more than honored to be part of this project since the very beginning when it was only a lightbulb of an idea. We have helped in so many ways and will continue to assist as Longplex grows!
It was over four years ago that we were approached by the owner, who was looking for an agency to help bring his dream into a reality. Our first task was to help find the perfect name for this soon to be massive facility. After several creative names, Longplex Family & Sports Center was chosen. Next, it was time to bring the name to life from designing their logo, a website, and preparing a full marketing plan to spread awareness and build excitement about the opening of this great facility. During the design phase, we stuck with their vision for a royal blue color scheme and incorporated this within their marketing collateral.

We designed a primary mark logo that will be used the most consistently and a secondary mark with their initials: LP. Our designs include a 1-color print option and white logo.

Now that we had the logo and brand identity established, we worked to set up social media, organic coverage, and a landing page to collect email submissions. We created their Facebook and Instagram social media accounts to establish their reputation and build excitement about the grand opening of this great sports facility. On Facebook, we set up a lead gen campaign for email submissions and received over 300 email subscribers! Throughout the time period that Longplex prepared to open, we sent updates to these subscribers to keep them in the loop.
Longplex social media promotion
From a PR standpoint, we wrote press release documents and even got the press involved with coverage from popular news stations and newspapers like The Herald News, The Newport Daily News, and the Sakonnet Times. They spread the buzz through traditional advertising and social media about the opening of the new facility, making a groundbreaking impact through the end of the year!
Construction was in the works while we helped spread the word about this exciting new sports facility. Here’s a couple photos below.
Photos of construction
While construction was underway and a detailed website was being created, we set up a landing page for email submissions and received over 1,600 subscribers eager to hear more about the opening of this new facility!

We even put together a sponsorship kit to encourage local businesses to join the excitement and sponsor the construction of this beautiful facility.
Next, we conducted a photoshoot to get photos to use on their website and social media and update followers of their progress.

We then launched their website to ensure that interested prospects could get additional information and learn more about their offerings.
