City Year Providence is part of the larger City Year / AmeriCorps network, a nonprofit focused on supporting under-resourced public schools.

In Providence:

• They place AmeriCorps members in schools to help students succeed both academically and socially ‒ offering tutoring, mentoring, attendance support, etc.
• Their work is heavily focused on equitable learning environments; many students served are from diverse backgrounds, many speak multiple languages, and a high share qualify for free/reduced lunch.
